Q: After disassembling and cleaning the valve, how do I reset it back to the correct exhaust value?

A: Most of the time after you disassemble and clean the valve, you need to replace the 3 small sealing O rings inside the valve. You may need to replace some other parts depending on the condition of the exhausting valve. Please visit sterilizers.com for more information.

Q: One of the autoclave carts seems to have a few droplets of moisture. The other cart is always dry. However, the 30 minute drying cycle doesn’t seem to make the moisture less. Is it necessary to dry every load for 30 minutes?

A: You may try to open the door a little bit during the dry cycle to allow the steam out of the chamber. The steam isn’t escaping the chamber, which is probably what is causing the water residue.

Q: I have a working Amsco 613R and need to know the cleaning instructions. I have autoclave cleaning solution but I’m not sure of the cleaning procedure for this particular model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A: I don’t know which autoclave cleaner you are using, but you need to following the instruction on the autoclave cleaner. According to our experience, the Tuttnauer Chamber brite is one of the best sterilizer cleaners.

No matter what autoclave cleaner you use, after using autoclave cleaner, you need to make sure to drain out all the water (both chamber and reservior) and wash it with fresh distilled water. I highly recommend you to do this twice to make sure no more cleaner remains inside chamber and reservoir.
