This message will be displayed if during a normal Heat Up stage the system determines that there is insufficient water in the Chamber to complete the cycle.

This determination is made by the combined input of two sensors, the Water Electrode and the Safety Thermostat Also if a power failure occurs during the Heat or Sterilization stage after the power returns the system will check the Water Electrode to see if there is sufficient water in the Chamber in order to resume the cycle.

If not the cycle will be aborted, the message LOW WATER will be displayed, and the Cycle Fail indicator will light Possible causes for this message are:
1. Insufficient water entered the Chamber at the beginning of the cycle. Check for proper leveling, a dirty or shorted Water Sensing Electrode, a clogged Water Pump, a partially clogged line or that the Air Outlet Valve is stuck closed
2. A leaky Solenoid Valve, Safety Valve, Air Jet, Door Gasket, Door Bellows or a pipe fitting is allowing water or steam to escape at a higher than normal rate
3. A power down has occurred and on power up if the water Electrode tip is dry the Low Water message will be displayed

Q: After disassembling and cleaning the valve, how do I reset it back to the correct exhaust value?

A: Most of the time after you disassemble and clean the valve, you need to replace the 3 small sealing O rings inside the valve. You may need to replace some other parts depending on the condition of the exhausting valve. Please visit sterilizers.com for more information.

Q: One of the autoclave carts seems to have a few droplets of moisture. The other cart is always dry. However, the 30 minute drying cycle doesn’t seem to make the moisture less. Is it necessary to dry every load for 30 minutes?

A: You may try to open the door a little bit during the dry cycle to allow the steam out of the chamber. The steam isn’t escaping the chamber, which is probably what is causing the water residue.

Q: I have a working Amsco 613R and need to know the cleaning instructions. I have autoclave cleaning solution but I’m not sure of the cleaning procedure for this particular model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A: I don’t know which autoclave cleaner you are using, but you need to following the instruction on the autoclave cleaner. According to our experience, the Tuttnauer Chamber brite is one of the best sterilizer cleaners.

No matter what autoclave cleaner you use, after using autoclave cleaner, you need to make sure to drain out all the water (both chamber and reservior) and wash it with fresh distilled water. I highly recommend you to do this twice to make sure no more cleaner remains inside chamber and reservoir.

Please make sure that at beginning, you need to allow the AIR out first. Let the air bleed valve open for a while. If there is too much air inside the chamber, the pressure will swing wildy during operation.
